Description

The German Korriphila HSP 701, masterminded by the world-renowned designer Edgar Budischowsky, represents a true masterpiece in the world of firearms. Before this achievement, Budischowsky had already made his mark with the design of the TP70 .22 and .25 caliber pocket pistols. However, the Korriphila HSP 701 was an entirely different beast. It was a full-sized centerfire handgun, primarily geared toward personal defense, and was constructed with an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of quality and excellence.

The Korriphila HSP 701 design patent was officially granted in 1979, marking the beginning of a production journey in 1984. Each HSP 701 handgun was meticulously handcrafted to order, constructed one at a time in Heidelberg, Germany. Budischowsky’s aim was straightforward: to create the world’s finest pistol, boasting unparalleled reliability and accuracy. In this pursuit, other considerations, including cost, were of secondary importance at best.

This firearm was not designed for any specific country’s military or law enforcement, nor was it a mass-produced weapon. Instead, Korriphila HSP 701 pistols were produced in limited quantities, with fewer than 30 manufactured annually, to meet the exact specifications and desires of individual customers.

This particular Korriphila HSP 701 is the only known one of its kind. It is truly a unique and exceptionally rare firearm. This level of rarity, combined with its distinctive features, including the never-before-seen full dust cover, elevates it to an extraordinary collector’s item.
The combination of a stainless steel frame, slide, black accents, and dark wood grips enhances its aesthetic appeal. It showcases the high-quality craftsmanship associated with Edgar Budischowsky’s work.

Including the original Korriphila genuine leather briefcase-style case with a green velvet interior enhances the exceptional collectible value and presentation of this firearm. It is a masterpiece of both art and function, representing Edgar Budischowsky’s legacy of producing high-quality, innovative handguns. Collectors and enthusiasts alike will undoubtedly recognize and appreciate the unmatched rarity and artistry of this HSP 701.
